Computers in entertainment

Computers started as very simplistic machines for storing and transferring data. Most of these files were text-based reports used in a work environment. As technology advanced, computers became increasingly versatile in what they could do. With the creation of the Internet and faster processors, file sharing and entertainment became a popular use for personal computers everywhere. Computers have endless uses in the entertainment industry by directly marketing products to users.
Movies:

You might  have surely seen Matrix, jungle book, titanic, Jurassic Park or cartoons on any TV channel, and now we can question the importance of Computers in the film industry. With the advancement of video card and Internet speeds, movies and streaming television are now at the click of a mouse button. Computers help in improving productivity by automating time consuming, repetitive and monotonous processes.
Many website services offer free-to-stream movies with the cost of a monthly subscription fee. Some websites even offer free streaming episodes of certain TV series with Internet commercials.
Computers are  extensively used behind the scenes to edit film during the production process.  New movies are developed using computer graphics, animations etc. Scanners are generally used to help create complex twisting motions.
With the aid of sophisticated graphics and animation packages the special effect technicians can create any illusion.
In some cases, users may not even need to pay for cable service or television because of all the free available video content online.
        Music:

We cannot deny the importance of computer technology in the world of music .Computers now have almost unlimited access to any song by any artist. Any musical composition that we hear today goes through a technological process at some point. While creating music may be an art, the notion of sound is a matter of physics. Music allows you to edit recorded music or even create your own.Musicians frequently use computers called electronic synthesizers to store sounds, recall them from memory to have them played, and distort them in new and unusual ways. Both artist and sound engineers are finding novel applications for computer in their work. Some of the Music Composition languages that provide ways to create music on a computer  are Music, Symbolic, Composer, Fugue and so on .
Today many musical pieces are so rich with electronically produced sounds.Musicians use the computer to store, edit, and cut and paste sounds. The computer has to play alot many important roles in today's music industry. Users can purchase individual tracks or albums directly to their computer through many website services. Computers also allow musicians to create artificial instruments to record with which are called MIDI instruments.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
The are very eye catchy screens of scores and statistics that you might have possibly seen seconds ago while watching a live cricket match or something and totally animated cartoonish sequences of thrilling rides.
All this is possible because of fast-paced world of computer graphics and animation.
Combine applications with electronic scoreboards, computer-controlled ticketing, and all the other computerized activities performed by any profit- making enterprise and you have one very impressive array of computing power in the sports industry today.
Computers and movies first met when computers became the subjects of movies. Robots were among the earliest computer technologies to be worthy objects of moviemaking. All thanks to computer graphics and animations.

Art
 :
Art is something that is readily available online at any moment. Pictures, paintings, poetry and more are just a click away. There was ones a time when could create an artistic image only by painting, drawing, weaving, sculpting and all that which could be completely done by your hand. But then the Gutenberg press arrived, and images could finally be mass produced.
The industrial arts emerged shortly after the industrial revolution that brought up machines that could weave under program control such as Jacquard look
Then with the dawn of photography in the mid-1800s a new art form evolved with a different set of standards.
But now with the arrival of computers there are new and great opportunities created.
Computers made it possible to virtually create images of any shape and size, variety of colours are available, images can be enlarged, rotated, blended, combined with other images, illuminated by one or more shadow-casting light sources, and so forth. We can also change shape, colours or positions of objects at electronically fast speeds to create new images.
GAMES:
Image result for play stationsComputer games are the new trends of 21st century and it's accelerating very fast in the mark just like all other forms of video games. Computer games offer a very wide array of possibilities. Computers have access to many peripheral devices such as keyboards, mouses, joysticks, controllers and more. Computer games can also be easily customised since they can manipulate the game files. Like new levels can be created, characters or graphic files can be changed for some specific games. Not suprisingly, computers are the backbone of any  new video game.

History of computer graphics

Enjoyed watching life of pi or Spiderman series!! But ever wondered about the history of computer graphics? Check this out.
Soon around 1940s and 50s people started experimenting in computer graphics, like John Whitney—but it was only by the early 1960s when digital computers had become widely established, that new avenues for innovative computer graphics blossomed. People initially started using them mainly for scientific, engineering and other research purposes, but artistic experimentation began to make its appearance by the mid-1960s. By the mid-'70s, plenty of such efforts were beginning to enter into public media. In those days computer graphics involved 2D imaginary, though increasingly, with the I'm impoverishment of computer power , efforts to achieve 3-dimensional realism became the emphasis. By the late 1980s, photo-realistic 3D was beginning to appear in cinema movies, and by mid-'90s had developed to the point where 3D animation could be used for entire feature film production.
There were quite a few steps taken in the direction of using graphics for developing game. In 1961, Ivan Sutherland a student of MIT created computer drawing program known as Sketchpad. This could solve some of the basic graphic problems of that period. It allowed the creation of simple shapes on the computer screen, save them and view them later.

In 1963, E. E. Zajac, the scientist at Bell telephony laboratory made a film ‘Simulation of a two-giro gravity audio control system’ using graphics.

As the interest in making images with computers bloomed, computer graphics made the move from the lab to full scale production in 1970’s. In 1970’s, graphics were used extensively in movies. Although the graphics were slow and not that enticing, still it marked the evolution of computer graphics.
The use of computer graphics further got everything emphasized  by the movie Tron in 1982. It used four major production companies to come up with a 20 minute of full 3D graphics. Though the movie couldn't attract many viewers, but it left an impact on the movie makers with the potential of graphics in the industry.

If you have any suggestions then don't forget to write it down in the he comments section below.
